The Tides in North Haledon

The food was so good I wanted to cry.   I have not only attended this hall as a DJ, but as a guest as well and I have never been disappointed.  We entertained a wedding over the weekend and I think The Tides became my favorite hall.  They say you can win a man's heart through his stomach and how true that is.  While The Tides is an exquisite hall, like many, the food is above the quality of many of the halls in which we perform.  Yes DJ's eat too.

After Chris and I finished out Piano and Sax set for cocktail hour, we were given some time to indulge in the appetizers.   Seafood, select meats, pastas, fruits, salads, eggplant rollentini, and so much food I couldn't even hit all the stations.   Most of the other halls have some selections like this, but there was something about the quality of the cocktail hour food at The Tides.

After having a blast of a first set, we came to dinner and was offered filet mignon.  Despite the fact that I've eaten at hundreds of hall, this was the best.  I think it was the extra gravy they provided with the tender filet that had the steak go down like butter.  Oh so good!

This wasn't even the best part. After a few more rockin dance sets of live performing, The Tides opened up the Vieneese Dessert Stations.  Just think of a dessert, and it was there.  I wanted to cry after I filled myself up on Cholcolate and Peanut Butter cheesecake and red velvet deliciousness that I was full and could go back for the other desserts.  Ice cream cakes, cupcakes, waffle stations, coffee bar with your choice liqueors, etc.

Excellent job for The Tides.  The staff was great the Materdee was easy to work with, the room and the outside grounds were fantastic, the room sounded great for our performances, and the food was outstanding.  Looking forward to going back again. Thanks again!

Seasons In Northern New Jersey

We played at one of my favorite halls this past weekend, Seasons in Washington Township! It's a beautiful hall in Northern New Jersey but still conveniently off the New Jersey Parkway off exit 168.  Easy to get to, easy on the eyes, and easy to love!

First off let me tell you who I am and what I do.  I am a DJ and a Saxophone player one of New Jersey's finest DJ Company's, D'Amico Entertainment.   We are a DJ with Live Performances (vocal, sax, percussion, - your choice)

We begin each event playing in the cocktail hour room on Piano and Sax.  And wow, do we love playing cocktail hour at Seasons.  The rooms (upstairs and/or downstairs) have a great sound for our piano and sax .  Granite floors surround us but it still feels very cozy.   We also play joyfully knowing that we also get a chance to taste some of the brilliantly cooked food.

After Seasons magnificent cocktail hour, we spend the rest of the night performing in the main ballroom.   Seasons is a bit ahead of many of the other reception halls with 2 large retracting video screens for montages and a live video feed of the room.  It also has LED custom lighting on the ceilings, shining all different colors throughout the room (or whatever theme color is needed).

The views, the staff, the food, and the sound of these rooms are superb.  I am slightly biased as my sax sings nicely in these ballrooms and the lead singer/MC Chris D'Amico sounds phenominal.  Chris Tyrpak our DJ played some great sets and his set-up was perfect for the room: a sub woofer, 2 speakers, and his media gear, not too much stuff to get in the way of a pumpin' dance floor.

Seasons in New Jersey is a great place to have an event.  And if your looking for DJ Entertainment, give me call or email me at newjerseysdj@gmail.com

The River House Brielle NJ

The River House in Brielle NJ was a beautiful change of scenery for us at New Jersey's DJ (D'Amico Entertainment).  We were actually recommended by the River House from a holiday party we did in December.

The staff commented about our performance and said they have never seen a show like the DJ Alive show.  For cocktail hour Christian Macchio on Piano and Me on sax played for a bit.  One of the staff said we were the most entertaining performers she had ever seen at the River House.   We definitely appreciated the compliment.

Early in the night, around salads,  half of the guests were at the far end of the room by the bar and some were outside enjoying the ocean air.  The other half were sitting at their tables enjoying our live performances by Christina, Christian, and myself.   As the night progressed we began playing music to get people up and dancing and as soon as the sun went down, the dance floor was completely packed.

We look forward to going back to the River House in Brielle NJ!  The food was tasty, the staff was very easy to work with, and the location was exquisite.  Hopefully we'll see you soon River House!

Sincerely,

John Peterson of New Jersey's DJ

The Primavera Regency in Stirling, New Jersey's DJ

The Primavera Regency in Stirling New Jersey is quite a nice hall.   It seems a lot more quaint than the other halls we perform at.  It’s a one level banquet hall that hosts one event at a time.

While I was turning into the driveway, I noticed the nice gardens and flowers surrounding the hall.

The gazebo in the garden, directly across the driveway at the Primavera Regency hosted the wedding ceremony the day I took this picture.

Directly after the ceremony ended, the guests made their way into the cocktail hour in through the foyer.  The Primavera has a nice black sleek grand piano sitting in the middle of the room.  Guests were able to enjoy, in close proximity, Chris playing the piano while I played the sax.

The other room for cocktail hour was connected to the room with the piano.  This room is where the food was served.

After cocktail hour was finished guests entered the main ballroom.  The Primavera Regency is one of the first halls that I have to install LED color lighting along the walls and really neat moving lights on top of the dance floor.  They put on quite a show while we had the dance-floor packed.  Here is a picture of the room before anyone had been in it.

The Primavera Regency gets high ratings from me.   The friendly staff, the special lighting, the gorgeous gardens, and especially the tasty food has proven how dedicated they towards striving to be the best in New Jersey.  New Jersey's DJ's premium choice reception hall!

Sheraton Crossroad in Mahwah, New Jersey's DJ

Driving up to the Sheraton Crossroad in Mahwah, NJ is nothing short of impressive.  This hotel sits in the middle of a large open plain at the point where Rt 17 meets Rt 287.  It’s easy to find (obviously) and has plenty of space for any size event.  We have done events that had 150 people and we did a banquet with over 500 people.

The reception/banquet hall on the first floor is where the Sheraton Crossroads hold super big events.  When we perform at the Sheraton Crossroads we are usually in the other hall.  The other banquet hall  is up on the 12th floor.  The elevator has  glass windows looking outside and the ride up is exhilarating and once you reach the 12th floor , the view is breathtaking.

It’s always a pleasure performing at the Sheraton Crossroads.  Joe, the manager, is very efficient and ensures everything is perfect for the events taking place.  He also communicates with us to make sure we are taken care of.

Chris and I usually play cocktail hour on a gorgeous black grand piano near the windows.  It’s set up really well for guests to listen to us as they walk in the room.  There is another large section off to the left of this picture where guests can eat, drink, and be merry!

The day this picture was taken, the ceremony for the bride and groom, was held in the main room.  In my opinion it’s convenient for guests that the ceremony was next door to the cocktail hour.  The views were gorgeous as the sun was still pretty bright!  Although the large banquet hall on the first floor is impressive, the hall on the 12th floor, is a fantastic experience for a wedding ceremony and reception.

The staff always does a great job setting up the main room.    I have to say that the food is also fantastic at the Sheraton Crossroads.   New Jersey's DJ looks forward to returning the the Sheraton Crossroads!

Naninas In The Park

All reception halls are NOT the same! Naninas In The Park, located in Belleville New Jersey is one of my favorite.  It’s like the slipper slipping on to Cinderella’s foot.

It started with first playing cocktail hour in the entrance.  Debbie played their gorgeous Yamaha grand piano and I played sax.  The natural reverb in the entrance is like a dream come true.  Then Debbie and I had a chance to eat the food..mamma mia.  The Risotto has to be the best around.

We brought our full show; The DJ Alive and Plasma Package to this event.  You feel like you are in a palace.  It sounds great, looks great, the staff is phenomenal and I am getting goosebumps just thinking about going back.  Nice Job Naninas In The Park.

Did I mention, when they set up their dessert room, I felt like I was at Willie Wonka’s chocolate factory.  All I have to say is.... wow.  New Jersey's DJ Top Pick!

The Westin Governor Morris Hotel and New Jersey's DJ

New Jersey's DJ really likes this reception hall, The Westin Governor Morris Hotel, located in Morristown, NJ.  The Westin is conveniently located off of rt 24 and minutes from rt 287.  When you pull up to the hotel, you will notice that it is an older hotel but it still has class.  If your looking for a reception hall that looks like a palace when pulling up to it, this is not the place, but it still remains fancy for people with exquisite tastes.

They have a couple of event rooms but the main ballroom in the Westin Governor Morris Hotel is obviously most impressive.  The hotel even has it's own event lighting company that makes a great looking room, exceptional.  It's quite beautiful when the lighting specialist shine their beams on the crystal chandeliers.  Below is a picture of the main ballroom, still pretty bare, but looking sweet!  As you can see there is sufficient room for dancing.

Another thing I really like about this room is that the guests sit on either side of the dance floor letting the music pump at a nice dancing level without killing the guests ears.  The bars are on the top of the 1st tier and are out of the way of the music as well allowing for ample conversations.

Let's take a step back and talk about cocktail hour.  Its held on the second floor of the hotel over looking the gorgeous lobby.  It's roomy and bright  as the large windows in the lobby of the Westin allow for natural sun light to enter.

The Westin Governor Morris Hotel has a beautiful Kwaii Black Baby Grand Piano.  It sounds great!  The staff waits as the guests arrive with trays of champagne with white gloves on.  The food is also very taste, especially their spinach filled tortellini... so good!  When I go there I especally love their tomato and fresh mozzarella platter.  It's a very classy place and the staff is on top of making sure the guests are well taken care of.

The staff is very good with the guests.  Sue, one of the managers runs a tight ship with her staff, but is respected for her leadership.  The bartenders are very polite and don't even think twice about making sure even the DJ's are taken care of.  I went up to John, one of the bartenders, and I had asked for water.  He filled a glass with ice, poured the water, and them offered me the bottle.  I can only count a few times in 10 years that the bartender took that much consideration with the entertainment.

When we were there providing the entertainment, the dance floor was packed all night long.   The guests really felt comfortable dancing in this room and the acoustics of the room allow for the sound to be dispersed nicely.

The food was very good, the staff was excellent, and the hotel was classy and clean.  Even the bathrooms were really nice with marble and granite.  Great overall experience and I look forward to working with sue and her staff again soon!  Signed.. the professional entertainment.
